And the other thing, a lot of people slag off Mater Suspiria Vision, despite the fact Cosmotropia de Xam is setting the tone for a lot of graphic artists, film makers and fashion designs involved in, and inspired by the genre. The band themselves are heavily influencing the Russian sound and scene that looks to be big over the next year.
What people seem to forget is that once the “media” has coined a term and applied it to everything they see fit its hard to shake that label. Of course droney witchy music acts existed before witch house, like how the New York Dolls and The Stooges existed before punk. Deal with it!
